Non Food Items That Have Milk in Them

Skin Care
Dairy Face
"Milk has been prized as a beauty care ingredient since cows roamed the Roman Empire. It’s rich in unsaturated fatty acids, lecithin, vitamins A, D, E, C and B12, and offers amazing nutritional benefits for the skin.

Almost all facial creams include fats and oils to help keep skin healthy. Well, milk is an utterly nourishing source of natural fat. One drop of milk contains over one million superfine, easily-absorbed, nutrient-rich balls of fat that quench your skin's moisture-thirsty cells.
Your skin will also love the lactic acid found in this dairylicious ingredient – which helps to break down and remove dead skin cells and helps to stimulate collagen production. "

Pens
Parker
"One of the strangest materials that pens have been made from is a material called Ivorine, a sort of protein based plastic that was developed in the late 1800's in an effort to replace the black board slates used in schools. The first white boards, in fact. According to David Wells, a pen collector that has done extensive research, Adolf Spitteler and W. Kirsch in Bavaria developed the process of making plastics from formaldehyde and... well... skimmed milk."

Filler
Casein Filler
"Earthborn Casein Filler has a smaller carbon footprint than most fillers. It is based on the natural milk protein casein and white lime. Less energy is used to make it because it is titanium dioxide free.

But there is no loss of performance. Earthborn Casein Filler has excellent adhesive qualities, making it easier to fill cracks and holes in plaster and other surfaces. Once applied, it remains flexible and lasts exceptionally well.

Leather Polish
Casein Polished Finish
"The aim of this type of finish is to produce leather, which retains its "natural" look but at the same time achieves a degree of uniformity in color with the minimum opacity necessary. This is achieved by using a mixture of aniline dyestuffs and pigmented dyestuffs bound together using casein. Pigments, unlike dyestuffs are insoluble in water or solvents and are opaque. Casein, a protein that comes from milk exists as a water-soluble colloid. It is not unlike albumen (known in the bookbinding world as 'glaire'), which is the protein present in egg white."
